About us

Meet our Founder

HazardScope founder Peter is neurodivergent and has experienced many challenges in his working career. Some of these challenges prevented him from promotions and other career progression opportunities. More recently Peter had developed a Psychosocial injury resulting in trauma and a period of time where he could not return to work.
This experience led Peter to start HazardScope. He has a passion to empower organisations to build healthy resilient and high performing teams. This can only happen when there is a culture of safety, health, wellbeing and inclusion in the organisation. He has a strong desire to work with business leaders, owners and managers to create this culture. Peter is a WHS practitioner, with a background in training, disability services, employment services, and organisational development.
He blends psychosocial risk expertise with creative communication and deep empathy — helping leaders and teams build workplaces where people feel valued, supported, and able to thrive.

about hazardscope

Practical WHS & Psychosocial Safety Consultants for Australian Workplaces
HazardScope is an Australian workplace health and safety consultancy specialising in WHS compliance, psychosocial risk management, and inclusive safety practices.
We support organisations to identify real risks, meet their legal obligations, and implement safety solutions that work in real workplaces — not just on paper.
Our approach is grounded in risk management, evidence, and practical application, helping organisations protect their people while strengthening business performance.

Our Purpose

We exist to help organisations create safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplaces by addressing both physical and psychosocial risks in a clear, practical, and legally defensible way.
Workplace safety is not just about compliance — it’s about how work is designed, managed, and experienced by people every day.

Our Approach to Workplace Safety

At HazardScope, we take a fit-for-purpose approach to WHS and psychosocial safety.
That means:
  • No generic templates
  • No unnecessary complexity
  • No “tick-and-flick” compliance
Instead, we work closely with organisations to understand:
  • Their workforce
  • Their industry
  • Their operational risks
  • Their regulatory environment
We then design practical, proportionate controls that can be implemented and sustained.

Expertise You Can Rely On

HazardScope brings together experience across:
  • Workplace Health and Safety (WHS)
  • Psychosocial risk management
  • Psychological health and safety
  • Safety management systems
  • ISO 45001 consulting
  • Neurodiverse worker safety and inclusion
We stay current with evolving regulator expectations, legislative developments, and emerging risks — particularly in relation to psychosocial hazards and psychological injury prevention

Psychosocial Safety Is Core to What We Do

Psychosocial safety is not an add-on or wellbeing initiative — it is a core WHS obligation.
We support organisations to:
  • Identify psychosocial hazards
  • Assess risk exposure
  • Implement effective organisational controls
  • Consult meaningfully with workers
  • Monitor and review outcomes
Our work focuses on systems, work design, and leadership capability, not individual resilience or surface-level wellbeing programs.

Inclusive Safety and Neurodiversity

HazardScope recognises that workplaces are diverse, and that one-size-fits-all approaches to safety can unintentionally create risk.
We support organisations to consider:
  • Neurodiversity
  • Vulnerable worker groups
  • Cognitive and sensory demands
  • Communication and behavioural expectations
This ensures safety systems are inclusive, fair, and effective, while remaining aligned with WHS legislation.

What Sets HazardScope Apart

✔ Strong understanding of Australian WHS laws
✔ Practical, business-focused advice
✔ Clear, regulator-ready documentation
✔ Respectful engagement with leaders and workers
✔ Focus on risk management, not box-ticking

We don’t just explain obligations — we help organisations apply them confidently and effectively.
OUR COMMITMENT
HazardScope is committed to:
  • Improving workplace health and safety outcomes
  • Supporting psychological health at work
  • Promoting inclusive and respectful workplaces
  • Delivering advice that is ethical, evidence-based, and practical
We believe good safety practice supports both people and performance.
